 i'm attaching two scope shots that show a successful load of the dcon
 (load_ok.png) and an unsuccessful load of the dcon (noload.png).

  yellow - DCONLOAD

  blue   - DCONIRQ

  violet - VSYNC

  green  - DCONSTAT1

 the DCON spec says that when DCONLOAD goes low that it will wait for two
 VSYNC pulses in order to capture a full frame.  it's clearly not waiting
 for two VSYNCs in the noload case.
