--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
XO-1.5 10.1.1 build 202: totem media player in GNOME doesn't play sound.
This will also affect totem-mozplugin.
This is because it unconditionally uses PulseAudio (which we don't ship),
thanks to this patch which is added by Fedora to the totem present in F11:
http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/totem/F-11/0001-Set-the-PA-
stream-volume-from-Totem.patch?revision=1.4&view=markup
The good news is that its fixed in F12 and upstream, it now allows the
gconf-configured audio sink to be used:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/totem/commit/?id=0c11f1ba21a48bd154988ce2620f03b89fa4d2f9
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=596164
for F11, a workaround is to remove the
/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstpulse.so file from the build. This causes
totem to fallback on audioaudiosink (see the f11 patch) which works OK.
