 Test procedure:

  * boot 1.5, build 201
  * launch Terminal
  * repeat:
    * close lid, wait for power light to go out
    * open lid
    * run "iwconfig"
    * check for eth0

 Result:

 eth0 still present after 20 cycles.

 I'll upgrade to os123 on the same machine and try again.
