 OK, I've pushed a patch to the olpc-2.6.31-cam branch.  Could you please
 give this a try and let me know if it fixes the problem for you?  With my
 scientific test (run mplayer, flip off the camera, stop mplayer, if the
 first frame on restarting mplayer is insulting, the problem remains),
 things have been fixed.
