 I took a NiMH battery which was completely discharged, inserted it into an
 XO-1 running q2e41, and it started trickle charging.

 I inserted the same battery into two XO-1.5s (B2 and C2 models), running
 Q3A33 firmware, and they both reported that the battery was full and
 didn't make any attempt to charge it.
