#10075: long uptime with constant wakeups fills /var/log and crashes machine

Mysteriously a large number of machines in my runin testbed (currently
being used for some battery testing) started hanging or my power logging
script exited with a weird error.

A few of the machines were still operational and I eventually figured out
 that /var/log was 100% full.

 /var/log/messages was 18+ megs

What happened was that these machines had been sitting there for close to
48 hours running my power logger while charging the battery. When the
battery is full my script just sits there and waits for the battery status
to change before it begins to log again.

During this time it will continue to issue EC wakeups which are set to 60
seconds. So for approx the last 48 hours powerd has been suspending the
machine and my script has been waking it up generating log traffic every
minute which eventually filled /var/log and then we crash. :(
