 The driver supports the VIDIOC_G_PARM ioctl(), which adjusts the frame
 rate in only slightly mysterious ways.  Over on #9853 I posted a little
 program that lets one play with the rate and instructions on how to use
 it.  Things definitely go smoother if the frame rate is lowered to 15 or
 20fps; the image quality improves too.
