 confirming kernel with uname -a), camera was no longer detected.
 /dev/vid* is absent, and dmesg shows

 Actually the kernel being used in the OS12 build is from Bernie's repo as
 it contains his fixes for power management and camera issues.  His patches
 are not yet in the standard xo1 kernels
