 I tried recording a movie using Record with the new kernel -- the on-
 screen response was excellent and smooth, but soon after I clicked "stop"
 to stop recording, I got a video hang, which the only way to get out of
 was to tap the power button (to suspend) and then resume.  The X log again
 contains "viaWaitVideoCommandFire: Timeout".

 (So, I think that means we're back over to Jon N for now..)
