 In #9664, Paul added a workaround in the kernel to detect the condition
 when DCON load fails.

 It would be nice to have this same workaround in OFW too. I see this bug
 frequently with OFW when the system is booting and it freezes the DCON
 (but it fails, so you get a load of ugly "static" instead).

 This often leads people to believe that there is something wrong with the
 laptop, and wad says in #9664 that it could lead Quanta to halt
 production.
