Comment(by pgf):

 a) missing spinlock protection has been added in a few places where it was
 needed (f9c77273), and
 b) the visible symptom of this bug has been hidden by eliminating the
 timeouts we were seeing from the libertas module. (515dc731)

 so this bug still stands, but we're not getting hit by it anymore.
