 Configuration:  XO-1  os260py (with sugar 0.88)  q2e44[[BR]]
 USB hub plugged in to XO;  keyboard and trackball plugged in to hub[[BR]]
 Ethernet adapter plugged in to XO;  no DHCP server on ethernet

 Procedure:  Installed usbhid.3.ko as usbhid;  rebooted
  * USB keyboard and USB mouse did not work
  * XO keyboard and mouse worked, and never stopped working
  * took olpc-log system dump

 When I later manually brought up the ethernet connection, it worked
