 Ah, actually it's changed in versions since XO-1.5.  So with XO-1.5 the
 oops is probably the same, and we might presume that it's been fixed in
 newer kernels since then.

 Heh, I see a FIXME in the 1.5 kernel code:

 Well, indeed.  Unfortunately we've already tried to dereference `hid` by
 then...
