 There was certainly no change from os301 to os302 relating to touchpad.
 It is likely that your personal environment changed.  Changed environment
 factors may include:
  * humidity,
  * temperature,
  * finger coatings,
  * body electric charge relative to laptop,
  * connected cables.

 If this issue returns, and I expect it will, please review:

 And report the type of touchpad.  There are two types on XO-1 units; one
 is indistinguishable from the XO-1.5 touchpad, and one is quite different.
