 [[BR]]The only thing I saw at top right (of the panel that asks to name
 this entry) was what I call a "checkmark" -- I presume that same thing is
 what you call a "tick".

 But I was UNABLE to manipulate that "checkmark" in the sense of a 'cancel'
 button.  [To me, a 'cancel' button should result in closing the dialog
 WITHOUT storing the current object as a Journal entry.]  Instead, the only
 choice that "checkmark" offers me is to "keep" (i.e., to store) the
 current object.  A second choice "Return" (presumably, "restore the
 running of this activity") was grayed out.  There was __no__ third choice
 "Forget it" (i.e., 'cancel' the attempt to store the object).
