Comment:

 I looked at the code. This is only needed during ISO generation in order
 to create the smallest live fs possible. You can disable ISO generation by
 setting base.make_iso to 0, the app will then work on OLPC kernels.

 We recently made this the default, and I also noted the dm-snapshot
 requirement in the README for this option. So I think it's safe to close
 this.
