 This should be fixed in olpc-utils 1.0.18, which is in rawhide and in
 updates-testing for F11.

 It would still be nice if someone analyzed the issue more deeply to find
 out why the behavior suddenly changed to allocate a 1940x1200 virtual
 framebuffer by default.

 Before giving up due to lack of time, I tried backporting the latest geode
 driver from rawhide, but it was crashing on startup.
