Comment:

 Sugar and Gnome are separate projects and they have decided to use
 different means to store network management data.

 This ticket could be solved by either:
  * convincing Sugar to use the same method as Gnome for storing data,
 (possible but an uphill walk),
  * convincing Gnome to use the same method as Sugar for storing data,
 (quite impractical),
  * convincing both parties to agree to a standard, (quite impractical), or
  * writing glue that will convert from one standard to another when the
 desktop mode is switched, (practical, but has significant maintenance
 costs).

 Classifying this as an opportunity.
