Comment:

 Quozl is correct that OFW only auto-detects USB keyboards during startup.

 You can force manual detection with the following commands:

 {{{
 ok probe-usb
 ok ?usb-keyboard
 }}}

 The "probe-usb" command (or its shorthand alias "p2") tells OFW to rescan
 the USB bus to find newly-attached or removed devices.

 The "?usb-keyboard" command adds any newly-discovered USB keyboards to the
 console input multiplexor.

 It is unclear what the original complaint is. The title suggests that the
 reporter expects plugging in a USB keyboard to disable the internal
 keyboard, but the text of the report suggests that the reporter expects
 the USB keyboard to work automatically.

 In older versions of OFW, the internal keyboard was disabled when a USB
 keyboard was attached at startup, but a recent improvement in input
 multiplexing permits simultaneous operation. But as before, the USB
 keyboard must be present at startup for it to be auto-detected.
