#9947: Disk space is lost as suspend/resumes happen

On XO-1.5 laptops which are disk space challenged (thanks to #9964), I am
seeing suspend/resume fail as disk space is gradually reduced.

 I'm running OS64, on C1 laptops with a 2GB SD card installed.

After a fresh install, the disk space on / is:
 /dev/mmcblk0p2 total: 1831852 used: 1657920 free: 155324 92% /

 After removing both Wikipedia activities:
 /dev/mmcblk0p2 total: 1831852 used: 1436292 free: 376952 80% /

 After installing the test files:
 /dev/mmcblk0p2 total: 1831852 used: 1698788 free: 114456 94% /

After running the suspend/resume (and SD wear) test for many cycles, the
disk space on the root partition has been reduced by over a hundred MB.

After a machine failed due to lack of disk space, it was rebooted, and
continued to show a lack of disk space. It automatically deleted both
Scratch and EToys, then booted. The difference in disk space seems to be
 accounted for somewhere in /versions.
On a fresh install, du -sk /versions/* shows 270MB in /versions/run, on
the one that failed due to lack of disk space, the same command shows
402MB in /versions/run. On both laptops, du -sk /versions/run/* reports
 the same (1.4GB in /versions/run/642/).

 This bug is very repeatable.
