 ejabberd 2.1.0 includes mod_ping which will resolve a FAQ ("why do clients
 that are gone from the network persist in network view?").

 It defaults to off -- we need to enable it, and set it to useful values.
 The default ping (60s) is probably too short and high-overhead for us.
