 Great news! I'll prepare an RPM with the patch.

 Changing passwords (or encryption types) on a given AP is a separate, old
 bug in NM 6.5. Unfortunately it is a very hard one to resolve. You can use
 the Sugar -> Control Panel -> Networks -> Discard Network Info button to
 work around the issue.
