 when this test is performed.  ("powerd-config =trace-debug")

 also, from an ssh or serial connection, run:

 strace -f -o /tmp/pnmto565.st /usr/bin/pnmto565fb -d -f /dev/fb0 -s 9999
 /etc/powerd/pleaseconfirm.pgm /etc/powerd/shuttingdown.pgm &
 killall -INT pnmto565fb
 }}}
 and provide the resulting /tmp/pnmto565.st strace output.
