 The q3a61c build supplied to Martin and I earlier today had "test /mouse"
 work on a Synaptics touchpad, but failed to work on an AVC touchpad.   The
 test returned that the PS/2 mouse/touchpad was not found (error code -1,
 and same as the initial bug condition).

 Initial remote debugging with Mitch suggested that the AVC touchpad was
 returning the a different identifier.  We got past that point with a hand-
 coded patch but Mitch had to run before we could figure out why the
 firmware then told me that no mouse test existed.

 On top of this, unfortunately we got chased out of our office by the
 cleaners before I could check the XO-1.5 + ALPS lower body that Martin & I
 created today.  I will look at that tomorrow and see how it performs.
