 We can create a ".hidden" file in /home/olpc/

 cd /home/olpc/
 echo Activities > .hidden
 echo Library > .hidden
 echo power-logs > .hidden
 }}}

 This file hide the directories in Nautilus, but not in the file chooser.
 There are a option in Nautilus to see the hidden files.

 This file prevents accidental deletion of directories but does not prevent
 the deletion if the  user want to do it.
