 I believe this Activity does image scaling.  [On my system it will find
 hundreds and hundreds of images to scale.]  On xo-1 os357 this activity
 starts to draw its session window, then vanishes -- the log shows it is
 getting some sort of X error.

 This same activty version worked for me (showed the thumbnails on my
 sytem) when run on xo-1 os355.  [This activity version also launches
 (eventually) on an xo-1 os5dx2 system and shows the thumbnails there (also
 hundreds and hundreds),]
