 the blue keyboard in my 1.5HS laptop developed a very odd symptom:

 all keys work separately, but the combination of either shift key with
 some, but not all, of the keys in the asdf and zxcv rows causes them to
 not work.  i.e., 'd' works, and 'shift' works, but shift-D doesn't work.
 same for shift-S, and about 10 other keys in those rows.

 i didn't try any combinations other than with shift.  the failure occurs
 under linux, and in OFW with "test /keyboard".  the failure persists after
 moving the keyboard from one laptop to another.

 wad now has the keyboard.
