 * os850, the /root directory on XO-1 does not exist, one sees ''No
 directory /root!'' error on text console during login.
  * os851, the /root directory on XO-1 does exist, and no error is
 reported.

 Lacked a test case to resolve ambiguity.  Ticket description says move
 root's home to /home/root.
