#10279: os850-xo1 difficulty in making first connection to AP

Installed os850-xo1. Went to Neighborhood View, clicked on local AP icon.
Got dialog asking for WEP password. Entered password - but 'OK' button on
dialog did not highlight. Dialog went away (I forget how). Repeated
clicking on local AP icon in Neighborhood View had no result. Took system
 dump.

Rebooted. Went to 'My Settings', clicked on 'Discard Network History'
button. Went to Neighborhood View, clicked on local AP icon. Got dialog
asking for WEP password. Entered password - clicked on 'OK' button in
dialog. XO-1 connected to the AP.

 ----

It was not obvious what the user is supposed to do when a situation arises
where clicking in Neighborhood View on an AP icon produces no response
whatsoever. This gets particularly intimidating when it occurs on the
first use of Neighborhood View following the install of a build -- in
other words, when it occurs where there has never been a network
 connection from that build.
