Using pulseaudio as sstand infor esd in a language application
Can run aplay on 8 bit and 16 bit wav files
 When start pulseaudio (esd-compat)
Language program interface works through esd interface on 8 bit formatted
wav files, but when running 16 bit, get static
Changing wav file (originally 16 bit little endian) to 8 bit format
 ensures the sound is heard
 Yet pulseaudio gives output
 On 16le file:
 sink-input.c Created input 4 "" on alsa-
 ouput.pci_1022_2093_sound_card_alsa_playback_0 with sample spec s16le 2ch
 etc
 on u8 file:
 get added lines:
resample.c Forcing resample 'copy', becuase of fixed, identical sample
 rates
 etc
 alsa-ouput.pci_1022_2093_sound_card_alsa_playback_0 with sample spec u8
 1ch etc

 Setting are default:
 /etc/pulse/daemon.conf default-sample-format = s16le
 and /etc/pulse/default.pa format = s16le
If i change the configuration to anything else, i get this error starting
 pulseaudio
 alsa-util.c: Device hw:0 doesn't support sample format size [u8, s32le,
 etc] changed to s16le
 Hence this format should work?
