Comment:

 yes, it should be a separate bug, but since i've fixed it, don't bother.

 this can also be readily be reproduced by hovering on the battery icon,
 going into power button sleep, removing (or reinstalling, if it was out)
 the battery, then waking again with the power button.

 the fix in the kernel is:  when waking for non-battery/non-AC reasons,
 generate gratuitous battery/AC uevents in order to signal user-level apps
 (like sugar) that things (may) have changed. applications will rediscover
 current connections and charge level.

 should appear in 122, i think.
