 i wonder if the earlier (in the log) confusion about the redundant rtc
 device causes rtc_wakeoff() to be called.  worth a printk or two to find
 out.  i read through the relevant looking changes to the rtc subsystem
 from the last 18 months or so -- there are definitely changes that might
 be related.
