Comment(by pgf):

 works for me too.  the status (if you're watching /sys) still changes
 briefly from Discharging to Not charging and then to Charging, but the
 battery frame text goes right from "N:NN remaining" to "Charging".   i
 allowed for an extra percentage point of discharge before testing, as i
 thought might be necessary in comment 16, but that didn't reproduce it
 either.
