Comment(by Quozl):

 Repeated test q3a35i on two units with only AP tag present, not the CP tag
 ... went through several cycles:

  * running ''watch-battery'' with near zero capacity battery, full panel
 backlight brightness, until automatic power off occurs,
  * waiting between ten seconds and two minutes,
  * applying external DC, obtaining the OK prompt, restarting ''watch-
 battery'', waiting for five seconds, and then removing external DC.

 Each laptop passed eight cycles, automatically powering on each time the
 external DC plug was inserted. .mfg-data was checked, the CP tag was not
 present.
