 Could it be that the USBD_PDN function still works ?

 The data sheet (PDF p. 47) implies that there is a separate USBD_PDN
 bit from the GPO bit.

 PDF p. 143 of the VX855 Programming Manual seems to contain the control
 bits for using that pin as USBD_PDN instead of GPO10.   I wonder if they
 work in suspend ?
