Comment:

 Tested os117, the workaround for the ''AP association failure after
 removing encryption'' symptom, which is pressing ''discard network
 history'' button, now works fine.

 The situation is improved, since a shell workaround is no longer required.

 Next task is to figure out if we can avoid the symptom altogether.
