 OK.  This looks like a problem with the DC adapters provided with the B2
 prototypes separating ground from earth ground as the current draw
 increases.  With a battery inserted, the laptop will try to charge it at
 25W draw.  With it removed, it sits there usually drawing 5W or less.

 Richard measured a 0.11V diff. between the two.

 If using the B3 prototype, I recommend taking great care with ground
 loops, removing the ground pin if necessary.
