 A quick fix for this problem is to install the gmixer application.  It is
 already packaged for F11.  I do work on my own spin for the EeePC 701's
 and also remove pulseaudio to help with cpu utilization.

 I would also recommend you alter /etc/pulse/client.conf and uncomment and
 change autospawn to no.

 Totem is still broken, I am looking into this.  I am also thinking of re-
 implemting gmixer in Vala with proper volume key control to match the
 gnome-volume applet.
