 Richard is.  Every component has tolerances: transistors have variable
 beta, voltage sources vary, even the trace widths and thicknesses on the
 motherboard.  All of these are carefully controlled in an attempt to
 maximize yield.  When a laptop misses the "working" window like yours did,
 we try to find out if we have a component out of spec or a design where
 some combination of within-tolerance components isn't working.

 And yes, we do have multiple SKUs of B2 to test some component second
 sources, but most of the ones distributed to developers were from one SKU.
