 1) use usb key to install os9 release of F11 operating system. No errors
 occured. Set name and color icon.
 2) Update apps using software update control panel.
 3) Download terminal app.
 4) su
 5) yum update
 Got all the way to the "Running Transaction" part with no problem, then
 got the following output:
