Comment:

 Reproduced in os44 with Turtle Art 78.
 Tested in os44 with Turtle Art 79, symptom has gone.

 Closing ... while it isn't in a build I expect it will be, and in the
 meanwhile the workaround is to upgrade your Turtle Art using
 http://activities.sugarlabs.org/addon/4027
