 Replying to [comment:4 dsd]:
 > os41 and previous were buggy, sorry about that. The way it is now is how
it is supposed to be for our system. By "previous OLPC releases" I was
 referring to 8.2.1, 8.2.0, etc.
[[BR]]I've been unable to identify anything that looks like a regression.
"Automount" appears to behave the same way on os42 as on build 802.
"Shutdown" appears to behave the same way on os42 as on build 802. I have
the same level of Sugar in my (updated) os8 system as in my os42 system.

Yet in build 802 (and in os8 and in os40) I was able to make use of the
automatically created mount point *in* /media for my SD card, and upon
boot from power-on that automatic mount of my SD card got done in time for
Sugar start-up to access the Activities on that SD card. In os42 (and
os43) the automatically created mount appears to be done __later__ on by
Sugar itself -- now (when I boot), in order for Sugar start-up to access
the Activities on that SD card, I must specify in /etc/fstab a mount point
for my SD card that is *not* in /media.
