 Is this really necessary at the moment?  The existing behaviour sleeps for
 a year instead of starting a shell, and one would need to be able to
 change kernel command line options to bypass this.  Being able to diagnose
 is also important, once a laptop has security disabled.

 I propose closing this ticket, what do you think?
