 On a XO-1.5 with os42, using a similar technique to #9661, the screen does
 not recover on resume, about half the time.  The screen is blank except
 for a mouse cursor.  No response to any keys, including blind typing of
 commands that should elicit noise or other non-screen response.
 Reproducer:
  * power on
  * wait for Sugar
  * Ctrl-Alt-F1
  * enter
  * telinit 1
  * dmesg -n 8
  * sleep 1;echo mem > /sys/power/state
  * wait a few seconds
  * power on

 Repeat the last three steps until the problem occurs.
