Comment(by wad):

 We can measure the turn-off time of the SD card, but given only 10 uF of
 capacitance on the power rail, I don't expect it is very long.   If it is
 below 10 mS, we have no problems as turn on will take at least that long.

 BTW, there are a number of events that might wake you that aren't under
 the EC control: mic/headphone jack insertion/removal and timers, for
 example.
