Comment:

 Adding -L to agetty in /etc/event.d/ttyS0 had no effect on the symptom;
 the keyboard still becomes unresponsive.  The serial port is not attached.

 Removing console=ttyS0,115200 and /etc/event.d/ttyS0 and rebooting had no
 effect on the symptom.

 This does not appear to be a functional duplicate of #9601, reopening.
