New description:
I configured an AP with a 32 characters SSID.
I connect the XO. I do ping to google with no problem. But when I open the
web browser it can finish loading the application and suddenly the XO
doesn´t respond to any button. I cannot switch console, or close the
application, or go to the neighbourhood screen. The only way is to reboot
the XO by HW.
If I change the SSID to 31 characters it works fine. No problems are
detected.
I did this with XO 1.0, firmware Q2E35, OLPC build1 stream 8.2.1.
I did the same tests with a 1.5 XO and had no problem to web browse being
connected to the AP with a 32 characters SSID.

Comment:
Triage.
I've fixed a few description typos.
There is a practical workaround, so I've lowered priority from blocker to
high.
I've changed milestone to future release, since 8.2.1 has already been
released, and we have no other milestone for XO-1 software work.
Could you please test with F11 for XO-1 build os8?
