Comment:

 Sorry, I totally missed this bug report.

 We all seem to have forgotten that in secure boot mode, OFW does not even
 pass a root= parameter. So yes, I agree with the followup discussion that
 it is the initramfs that has to sort this out. Just like it had to on
 XO-1.

 I'm working on this at the moment. The initramfs will read
 /ofw/chosen/bootpath to determine where to find the root device, and I'll
 look into some udev rules to ensure that our devices have the right names.
