 Thanks for the algorithm! also have to dynamically figure out where the
 post-display area is to store the state and diffs, based on the depth of
 the framebuffer.

 On my initial attempt at this, the whites worked but the grey in the ul-
 warning comes out as purple. Will continue tomorrow.
