#9412: test audio jack sensing on latest kernel
---------------------------------+------------------------------------------

Comment(by Quozl):
'''Test 1: Does the headphone detection work, and if so how quickly?'''
Method: set one XO to record, set another XO to play back, place facing
each other, record the audio and examine the waveform for the delay
between the peak of the plug removal mechanical noise and the start of the
audio playback signal through the speakers.
Result: delay samples 0.13sec, 0.12sec, 0.11sec, 0.12sec.
Diagnosis: the variability and length of the delay seems inconsistent with
mechanical electrical switching, and consistent with a kernel response.
There is a tenth second of comparative silence between the plug removal
and the kernel switching the speakers on.
'''Test 2: Is there an underlying mechanical switch?'''
Method: attach an unterminated 3.5mm stereo plug and see if speaker output
is stopped.
Result: output is stopped.
Diagnosis: there is a mechanical switch.
